Wildwood Lilies by Julie Riker

8x10
plein air oil
I decided to post this work after seeing Cecelia's lovely lily pad painting. Although this was painted at a different lake and on a different day, I think the paintings themselves are quite similar. This was painted on a bright sunny day and the leaves seemed to glow with the light passing through them. This painting is currently at Gallerie 13 in Mechanicsburg.

Julie--Our paintings are similar in subject and color, but your composition is much more interesting than mine--nice arrangement of pads, flowers and other vegetation-great punch of white with the placement of your flowers.

Hey Julie - I like your lily pads "stepping" back through the painting - some frog has a fun path to cross the lake.

Painting is lovely, Julie, and it looks even better at gallery!
Love the lights on all those green plants. Nice!
