The Herb Garden - King's Gap by Julie Riker

11x14
oil
There were so many beautiful paintings to paint at King's Gap. Of course, I chose a super complicated scene. This took two plein air sessions and then I worked on it a bit in my studio, pumping up some of the colors while still trying to keep the plein air spirit. Many thanks to Ralph Hocker for introducing me to some new green paints which helped this painting come to life.

Very beautiful painting of the Herb garden. Very nice greens, too.
