Fall at Fuller Lake by Catherine Stone

Thanks to the supportive members of SVPAP who welcomed me to my first group paint out!

What a glorious day!  Bright sun, deep shadows, fast moving clouds and  just enough wind to throw colored leaves into the air like confetti!  Light sparkling through the trees like through stained glass windows..our own natural cathedral!

"God has cared for the trees saved them from drought, disease, avalanches, and a thousand tempests and floods.  But he cannot save them from fools." - John Muir

Acrylic on canvas board, 8 x 16, available.  Contact the artist.

SO HAPPY TO SEEE YOUR PAINTING POSTED ON THE BLOG. YOUR WONDERFUL VERTICAL COMPOSITION
HAS CAPTURED ALL THE BEAUTY OF THAT SETTING--THE COLOFUL TREES AND SHRUBS, THE EVERGREENS, THE SLOPE OF THE HILLY TERRAIN--THE SERENE, GREEN LAKE AND THE GRACEFULL BARE TREE.

This is absolutely beautiful, Cathy. You really captured the essence of the day!
(Love your quote, too - John Muir is my HERO).
