Camp Hill Corner by Cathy Mabius

Camp Hill Corner, 11 x 14, oil by Cathy Mabius

Painting with the SVPAP group, I chose this scene because the clock in front of the old borough building is an old Camp Hill landmark.  In June 2011, Camp Hill will be holding a plein air event.

Cathy, I live in Camp Hill and pass this all the time. You have turned it into an interesting and inviting scene. I love the contrast around the clock with the red tree and white building in the background....really pulls your eye to that clock!

Cathy-The adjectives that come to my mind when I look at this painting are sunny, quaint, casual and charming. Also, a resident of Camp Hill, this corner is most familiar to me, and your painting conveys the pleasant way I feel, whenever I pass it.
