WAITING TO SAIL By Cecelia Lyden

acrylic on stretched canvas
8x10
On a beautiful, sunny, breezy morning I met with other plein air painters, some residents, others snowbirds like myself. We returned to a corner of the Fort Pierce Marina. It's always enjoyable to see different the styles and interpretations of the same same subject.

It's just a joy to see your beautiful plein air work from Florida, Cecelia. I love this piece, with the boats docked. We're expecting some more wintery weather tomorrow...still following that pattern of Tues/Wednesdays! Don't think it will be too bad, though.

Beautiful color harmonies, it says Florida. Love the way you painted the sail boats. Sharon Benner

Cecelia, I really like this painting... first, because of the composition. There is a subtle balancing act that works for me. Second, I love the reflected light in the shadows. Great job.
