The sun moves, shadows change; there is only a short period of time that an artist has to capture the shifts of light and color when painting outdoors - but it is this very desire to distill the energy and freshness of nature that drives the plein air painter. Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters was formed to bring together artists who share this passion.
Queen Anne's Lace - Acrylic Plein Air Landscape Flower Stream Painting by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Pat Koscienski
Queen Anne's Lace 12" x 6" Acrylic on Canvas
This painting was done in plein air off McCormick Road, Lisburn, PA. The Yellow Breeches was very muddy that particular day, not much sun out, but the Queen Anne's Lace was a nice contrast again the sienna colored stream. This painting will be on exhibit at the New Cumberland Library, 1 Benjamin Plaza, New Cumberland, PA, along with 13 other artists of the Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters until the end of May.
