Call For Artists - New Oxford Plein Air Paint Out

PLEIN AIR ARTISTS Wanted... for New Oxford’s ART AROUND TOWN During Harvest Day

PLEIN AIR ARTISTS WANTED for Saturday, October 29, Noon -3pm for Art Around Town during the 4th annual Harvest Day in New Oxford, PA.  Please mark your calendar to save the date, tell your artist friends too and plan to come paint awhile!

New Oxford’s Harvest Day is an immensely popular community day full of festivities, with thousands of people attending.  The morning starts off with a 5K Run, along with a Craft Show, lots of free kid’s activities, favorite foods, a late afternoon Costume Parade and the day ends with toes a-tappin’ to music at a Block Party.

This year, Plein Air Artists will be the focus of a fun-filled Scavenger Hunt for all ages.  We ask that you set up your easels in the circle, on the square, or within the 1st block in the four directions off the square so that you are within view from the circle.

Art Around Town organizers will provide each artist with a “scavenger item” to be placed where you set up and a large nametag for you to display or wear.  Scavenger Hunters will be given a list of all registered Plein Air Artists.  “Hunters” will have to seek out every artist on the list. They will fill in the blank next to your name with the identity of the scavenger item at your spot.  Complete and correct entries will be put in a hat and one lucky winner will be drawn for a prize.  It will be exciting fun for everyone and give all of the Plein Air Artists great exposure!

There’s no entry fee.  The deadline for registration is October 15th to be included on the Artists List for the PLEIN AIR ART AROUND TOWN SCAVENGER HUNT.  You are welcome to bring two pieces of finished art to display and sell, if you wish, where you set up.  And do plan to bring plenty of business cards to hand out!

Register by sending an e-mail to Sharon Moul  SGMNewOxford@comcast.net
