PINCHOT PARK By Cecelia Lyden

oil/canvas board

11x14

You might not guess, with the use of so many warm colors in this fall scene, that this was an unusually cold, windy day for mid October. The sky was overcast [again] with some in and out sunshine. This was our paint out/picnic/meeting day. We were all bundled up, but we still enjoyed delicious food and warm camaraderie.

The layering of trees and planes of ground in this are so appealing, Cecelia. I DO hope that we start getting some sunny fall days!

I love the contrast of cool gray evergreen tree and the warm sunlit deciduous trees.
