An Original Plein Air
Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'An Early Spring'
Oil on linen panel
 11 x 14

Today was one of those days that was just an incredible gift.
I was able to go right out into the orchard with a good friend
and fellow artist to paint the early peach blossoms plein air.
There was a threat of fog, but it had burned off by
9:00 AM leaving sun and blue sky and warm temperatures.
My face hurts from smiling so much...and the memory
of this fantastic day will stay with me a very long time!

My thanks to the very special people who let us come
paint on their property.

This painting says "Spring" to me.
I love tree blossoms. My wife thinks I'm a tree hugger.

You took beautiful advantage of our early spring -- definitely a rare spring and a beautiful painting.
