AZALEAS IN BLOOM By Cecelia Lyden

oil/stretched canvas
11x14
Another cold and this time raw day for our paintout at Italian Lake in Harrisburg. But the azaleas were bright and warm and some of the blossoms on the trees were still hanging on. I was able to get the composition down and the canvas covered with the colors ,before my hands stopped working, but most of this painting was completed indoors. PS Boy, do I hate this new method of posting!

This looks so much prettier than my impression of the real thing that day. Glad you were able to hang in there and bear the weather, and then finish this lovely painting.

Great color! So glad winter is over but a pair of thin cotton gloves and a hat still help.
