An Original Plein Air Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Petra's Magical Garden'
Oil on Linen Panel
9 x 12

Yesterday I painted in the beautiful gardens of my yoga
instructor's house.  I felt as though I had been dropped
into paradise...such gorgeous drifts of flowers, and
the Yellow Breeches close by.  While I painted, hummingbirds
came to feast on the bee balm, and Petra's chickens and one
of her cats came to visit me as I worked.  I almost expected
to see garden fairies flitting around the flowers...
After I was done painting, I went into her yoga studio
for my yoga class - what a great day!

Our plein air group, the Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters
has been invited to paint there this coming Monday,
I think they are going to like it...a LOT...

I am looking forward to it.
Your painting portrays this garden as a lovely, cool shady place full of vibrant color - perfect for painting.

There are some very nice shady trees to park an easel under and begin to paint!
