CREPE MYRTLE BY THE SEVERN, 16x12, oil, by Sharon Benner

I painted this looking up the shore line along the Severn River.  The day was mostly overcast with mild temperatures.  I really enjoyed standing alongside the river and listening to the waves lap at the shore.  I used my pallet knife to create the rich colors with a heavy impasto effect.  See more at www.sharonbenner.com
