About a dozen of us went out to this field of sunflowers, Thursday,  in 90 degree weather, no shade, no cloud cover-very hot and humid. The lure of all that yellow made me forsake any common sense. Wearing light colored clothes, a hat and slathered in suntan lotion, I still only lasted about 2 hours-just barely enough time to work on a small patch of the field. Happily, this painting was purchased by the owner of the sunflower field.
