YELLOW BREECHES ALONG McCORMICK ROAD An Original Pastel Painting by Clare Klaum

Two weeks ago a few of us had a paint out along McCormick road on a beautiful sunny Saturday.  I was finally able to get back to my painting to finish it.  It was a fun day and so much activity there.  It is a very popular spot for kayaking, wading, fishing and just enjoying the view.  This was also my daughters favorite spot when she was in High School to just get away and have a quiet moment.

Morning painting

Several SVPAP members painted along the Yellow Breeches Creek at McCormick Park recently, taking advantage of sunshine, shadows, and overall fine weather.

2017 Summer has been lush and beautiful!  I mowed a path through the meadow the other day so I could get a closer look at the wildflowers.   This is what I painted.     If any of you want to come back to the farm, I am willing to host another paintout. The Mexican Torch Sunflowers, Cosmos and Cleomes are tall now and there are still many butterflies, hummingbirds and insects.

Thank you CALC!

Coming up to the end of our current exhibit at CALC, I thank Cathy Stone and all those who work at the Carlisle Arts Learning Center for the opportunity to exhibit our group work there this past session.   I was happy to learn my little "Crescent Moon" will be moving to Vermont.
(This is the only photo I have of it......a bit out of focus, but oh well.)
